Otherwise this one would be a keeper. The face plate looks great, with one small scratch in front about an inch form speed selector. The cartridge is original Stanton 680ee, it works great and includes stylus.
For your consideration is a very good condition, all original Thorens TD-160C with the box and accessories. The dust cover has some scratches and is missing a piece see photo but sits nicely on plinth. It is all original except for the drive belt which has been replaced with an oem part. I have shipped ttys before and will package this very well.
The unit was used in 70s and early 80s but has been box storage for about 30 years. I bought it with intent to set up and use a my daily driver but am now moving so need thin out the collection. All I have done is replace the belt, clean stylus and listen to a few records.
The plinth is in very good shape, all corners are sharp and there no scratches or chips. Shipping is a little pricey because of the extra packaging but I want make sure unit arrives in good shape. I have no idea how many hours are on it and don't access to a microscope so can't verify its condition but does track well heard inner groove distortion. The unit will need some TLC from new owner but if you're looking at this then you know what to expect.
I acquired the unit from original owner because he was moving to Malaysia and could not take it with him. It spins up nicely, changes speed correctly and queuing operates as should. This is a very nice piece of audio history and once set up correctly should be an excellent turn table.
The original manual and more importantly, super rare, cartridge alignment gauge are both present in nice shape.
