Details:

The strobe and pitch controls works fine. This is typical of a table needing old hard grease cleaned from the mechanism and then freshly lubricated. No hum or noise when I was testing it.

I don't even recall anyone else attempting this in a commercial table. As you can see in the video below even though I have it set to a 33 rpm 12 record the tonearm in automatic mode will try to start playing like there is a 10 record in place. It wan't a sturdy design even when new.

Yes, i've packed tables safely before. As you can see in the video the player works quite well in manual mode which is how I played all my records anyway. There is a crack in the cover and the back part is also cracked.

Cover is still functional but isn't as strong as new. The table plays fine in manual mode and sounds quite nice. I installed a fresh audio technica SLT96E cartridge with brand new stylus.

Quite a feat at the time. The mechanism will need to be cleaned and lubricated for the changing record stacking mode to work.
