The plinth has a few minor scrapes. Only minor parts are necessary to make this unit functional. I would think that the lever break if speed changing action joints aren't lubed. It is not in working condition but close.
Since the on off lever broke, i'd recommend a set of new levers. Yes, i've done more damage to this unit in the last hour that 56 years of its life. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Garrard model 301 schedule no. Comes with plinth. Does not come with turntable mat. Condition repeated from above: this Gerard model 310 schedule no.
I assume some grease would be the remedy. I wouldn't think its supposed to be like that.
See photos the idler housing and bushings are solid but a spring may need to be replaced because it doesn't engage brake or speed disk. I also broke the power lever when turned it on. The unit is sold as see picture speed changing action a bit stiff. I was extremely careful changing speeds.
The idler needs to make contact turn turntable. The motor is almost silent with your ear on unit and no record. I severed the tonearm wires while photographing unit is in good condition but needs a few pieces to go work. This comes with the last model of grado wood en tonearms.
