I've tried it with both 33 and 45 rpm records. This is a tube set so it takes a minute or so to warm up before use.

Here is a nice little Rca victor model VGP03R portable tube record player. It was made in it is in very good condition and plays well. It only has one small speaker so the sound is not like a Bose system.

When not playing a record it has a very low capacitor hum that isn't heard when the music is playing. The case is in great shape with no cracks.
