Details:
I purchased a photocopy of this model's original photo fact service manual, which used to dismantle and lubricate all necessary internal parts myself will include it with sale. The only thing that might still need some adjustment is 7 record set-down position.
The 'guts' of this player is a voice-of-America record changer, model and finally, it missing one original four little rubber 'feet' on bottom case. This has been my sole record player for the last 8 years and gotten a whole lot of use.
They were initially causing a light 'hmm' in my left speaker, but that has been completely resolved Ge portable record player, model RP1570A with voice-of-America changer, i've recently sold off most of collection, so no longer have much need for this player. In its place, I have put another rubber 'foot' that is about the same size as others and prevents player from wobbling. The original tubes are in excellent condition and sound great.
There used to be half of a factory sticker near the on off knob that I ultimately just removed. I've put a lot of money, sweat, time and care into this player. I completely disassembled, cleaned, oiled greased the appropriate parts of changer as well replaced cartridge, stylus and idler wheel about 1 year ago, so it is in really great working condition.
The 45rpm adapter and clip holder on back wall are both vintaGe, but not original to this player. Honestly, if properly cared for, this player should easily last for another 40 years. Its built like a tank.
Switching out the cable was on my to-do list, but I just never got around to it.
