Details:

Vintage Rca victor model 6 jm 25 ding dong school slide o matic record player. They both seem to have old caked grease in them, which I suspect is common with carts of this age.

The crystal cartridge was in the unit, but not working. I tried a ton of different tape, but only found grip tape to work.

I included the broken parts I have, both the original cart, as well as a non working nos cart. However, it causes a lot of rumble in the record, so even this is not final. The outer case is cracked pretty badly on the bottom, and the top sticker is not in great shape.

This is a really rare record player, but sadly, it does have some issues. I cleaned the inside, and greased everything up as needed, and oiled the spindle. This is sold as is for parts or repair.

I had another one which has a bad channel that I installed temporarily, for testing and just playing around. The cartridge I installed in the unit, while only working on one channel, does have a new stylus, so I included the box it came in.

It does need some work for a proper restoration. I had another nos cart, but it too does not work. The auto return was not working, as the tape was shot on both the table and the spindle.

When I received it, the phono jack was cut off, and the whole unit was completely seized. Vintage Rca victor model 6 jm 25 ding dong school slide o matic record player. I decided not to do any further damage to this rare record player, as it will now at least play, and auto return.
