Product: 12V-5 Califone Quartet Record Player PA System
Pros:1. Suitable for both record player and PA system functions, making it versatile for various settings such as schools, small events, or home use.
2. The built-in amplifier allows for a louder and clearer sound, which can be beneficial for larger gatherings.
3. The 12V operation makes it energy-efficient, which can help reduce costs over time.
4. It is a record player, adding a nostalgic and unique touch to your music collection.
Cons:1. The sound quality may not compare to more high-end PA systems or audio equipment, potentially affecting the quality of performances or events.
2. The size might be bulkier compared to compact PA systems, making it less portable.
3. As a record player, it may not support digital music formats, limiting the versatility for some users.
4. The build quality might not be as durable as dedicated PA systems, which could lead to potential issues over time.
Conclusion:The Califone Quartet Record Player PA System is a versatile and energy-efficient option, combining the functions of a record player and a PA system. However, its sound quality might not be up to par with dedicated audio equipment, and it may not be as portable as other PA systems. If you prioritize versatility, nostalgia, and energy efficiency, this product could be a good fit. However, if you require superior sound quality and portability, it would be wise to consider dedicated PA systems or audio equipment.
Recommendation:For those seeking a versatile record player and PA system for home use or small events, the Califone Quartet could be a suitable choice. For professional performances or larger events, it is recommended to look into dedicated PA systems or audio equipment that provides better sound quality and durability.
Vintage Califone quartet model 12V-5 record player. Great project or decorator piece. I can't find much info on web about this record player.
It does not work, and tubes are missing. It looks original but the parts list in photo shows some crossed out. See picture of electronics. It is a record player, pa, and all in one, plus small bulb under turntable, possibly simulated strobe light.
It may have been updated at one time. In very good condition for its age. Sale is final.
Again, it does not work and is in need of parts repair.
