Idler wheel was well worn, and treated with a restoring compound. However, idler wheels wear down over time, and springs become weaker. No surges or changes in speed. A lot of work has been done for you on this turntable.
It should be noted that the motor runs perfectly, tested over a month. Tone arm and all exposed metal parts were cleaned brushed with steel wool.
While this was in good shape, it needed a cleaning. The head shell is not loose, it sits firm when being played on record.
