I don't have a needle to test any further.

Here is a artone model 804 tube Record player when plugged in the turntable turns and the speakers make noise when the area where the needle is supposed to be is touched. When I removed the top I noticed that most of the coating on the speaker wires has fallen off will need repaired. The cord has been taped also, I didn't remove electric tape to inspect.

This thing is in really great condition considering it's age.
