It might need a new needle, and the sound is not overly loud. Here is a video not mine which talks about this model and its history. Originally made in the 1950s, this one is pink grey version other colors were.

It is in working order, including the automatic needle drop. Very clean with no serious scratches. It includes the 45 converter spindle.
