I played a record on it and could hear the music through speaker but was distorted because of hum. This is the 3-speed model 7-HFP-1. The phonograph powers on with a hum.

It probably also needs a new stylus. You are buying this as is. Up for offer is this vintage circa Rca Victor orthophonic high fidelity phonograph.

Or, with just a little TLC, my guess is that this plays right away. All in all, this would make for a great restoration project. The case shell is nice and sturdy.

All of the latches work as they should and handle is nice solid. I have tried to take pictures from all sides. When I adjusted the treble, bass and loudness dials, could hear a variation in static hum so believe these are working as they would be too.

All 3 speeds seem to be working as they should. The record holder and tone arm also seem to be working as they should.
