Details:

There is a control at the rear of the player which allows you to select play of either the built in 8 speaker only, speaker stand speakers only or both. The mechanism was then reassembled and properly lubed and cycles properly. All music played is for demonstration purposes and not for its content.

5 speakers on the speaker stand. The turntable platter is all original and has a very nice burgundy flock and is in exceptional condition, as these normally show a lot of wear and needle marks, not this one. There is minor paint loss on the gold tone arm, which is hardly noticeable. Please on the link below to see this player in action.

The matching speaker stand is also in spectacular condition and the speakers work wonderfully and sound great. It retains it's original finish and has only several small blemishes, that were easily hidden with a wood restorer.

Not really a big deal but something that needs mentioning. This exact player is the mahogany version and the cabinet is very nice and sturdy. What makes this offering so special is that it comes with the very rare option Rca hf 2 std dual exterior speaker stand which was made exclusively for this particular model. This is a great opportunity to obtain a very nice collectible and great sounding record player.

The tone controls work well and provide high treble and good bass which is enhanced with the cabinet lid closed during playing. The player and speaker stand will each be properly wrapped with bubble wrap and double boxed and shipped separately to ensure it's safe arrival to its new owner. The only flaw is that the player does not shut off automatically after the last record drops as it should.

Here too the speaker fabric shows no fraying or tears. The turntable mechanism was manufactured by voice of music and it is a 3 speed player that features 78, 45, 33 PMS. All tubes test very strong.

The mechanism deck retains its original paint that is quite shiny and nearly flawless and has the Rca metal accent script.

For your consideration is a super nice 1954 Rca 3 hes 5 record player. The amplifier has plenty of power to drive the built in 8 full range speaker along with the a brand new Riefenstahl cartridge that has been bridged for mono has been installed which features a flip over diamond stylus for 45's and LP's, and a sapphire stylus for 78 PMS. The player comes with its original and functional 45 adapter the 4 tube push pull amplifier has been totally rebuilt, replacing all electrolytic and wax paper capacitors. Each part was polished for smooth operation, the motor was also disassembled and properly lube and runs smoothly and quietly.

All out of spec resistors were also replaced. Be Kringle 3 Lisa. The Rca nipper on the inside lid is present and is in very nice condition, as is the speaker fabric that shows no tears or frays, and the wood accent grill really gives this player that 50's retro look. Tubes were tested and weak ones were replaced.

Please look at the photos to see the very nice overall condition of the cabinet. This player came before the new ethnic model's and are highly collectible. This model was available in either mahogany or limed oak finish. The turntable automatically indexes the record size, 7 for 45, 10 for 78, 12 for 33 PMS.

All speeds operate correctly, as the mechanism was completely dismantled, cleaning each integral part free from old gummed up grease. Volume, treble, bass, and tube sockets were cleaned with exit, for smooth clear operation. This is a high fidelity record player that was Rca finest tabletop model of its time.
