The 2000e-III Empire Cartridge Stylus is a masterpiece of audio engineering, designed to deliver an unparalleled listening experience for vinyl enthusiasts. This high-end moving coil cartridge is a testament to Ortofon's decades of expertise in phono cartridge manufacturing.

Crafted with a nude elliptical diamond stylus, the 2000e-III Empire Cartridge Stylus provides exceptional tracking ability and minimal record wear, ensuring that your vinyl collection remains pristine for years to come. The diamond tip is mounted on a boron cantilever, which provides the perfect balance of rigidity and flexibility, allowing for precise tracking and accurate sound reproduction.

The cartridge body is made of a high-grade aluminum alloy, ensuring optimal stiffness and vibration damping, thereby reducing unwanted resonance and noise. The 2000e-III Empire Cartridge Stylus also features a low-mass design, allowing it to be easily mounted on a variety of tonearms, without compromising on performance.

The 2000e-III Empire Cartridge Stylus boasts an output voltage of 0.2mV, which is suitable for high-end phono preamps and makes it compatible with a wide range of systems. The cartridge's impedance is 5 ohms, making it a versatile choice for a variety of turntables and tonearms.

With its exceptional tracking ability, low-noise performance, and accurate sound reproduction, the 2000e-III Empire Cartridge Stylus will transport you into a world of music like never before.

Cons of buying a 2000e-iii Empire Cartridge Stylus:

1. Expensive: The 2000e-iii is a high-end stylus, and it comes with a high price tag. It may be out of reach for some budget-conscious audiophiles.

2. Requires a high-quality turntable: To get the best sound quality out of the 2000e-iii, it needs to be paired with a high-quality turntable and tonearm. If your current setup is not up to par, you may need to invest in additional equipment.

3. May require some tuning: Depending on your turntable and tonearm, you may need to spend some time tuning the 2000e-iii to get the best sound quality. This may require some technical knowledge and patience.

Conclusion:

The 2000e-iii Empire Cartridge Stylus is a high-quality option for audiophiles who are looking for a detailed, accurate, and clear sound. It is made of durable materials and can be used with a variety of turntables and tonearms. However, it is expensive and may require additional investments in equipment and tuning. If you are willing to make the investment and have the technical knowledge to tune it properly, the 2000e-iii can provide you with a truly enjoyable listening experience.

Recommendation:

If you are an audiophile who is looking for a high-quality stylus and have the budget and technical knowledge to make the most of it, then the 2000e-iii Empire Cartridge Stylus is a great option. However, if you are on a budget or are not confident in your ability to tune the stylus properly, you may want to consider other options that offer similar sound quality at a lower price point.

Details:

Not really even close. That doesn't mean its a bad sound but one can put sewing needle on record and it will produce. If having cartridge for mostly bragging rights, then you've got set aside can run ECG as your daily driver. Iconic cartridge and was the top of line moving iron design from Empire.

My estimate is probably 70 of its life has been used. It is said to be made in japan so I know isn't a . If you are looking for a s4000d iii stylus, I have that listed at this time. Still, its a 2000 by nature with the same stylus shape and new in box never installed.

To be clear from the start, this listing is only for Empire 2000 e iii cartridge and extra stylus. Thanks again for looking. It does not sound like the genuine Empire that's installed now.

The head shell, turntable and anything else in pictures are for illustrative purposes only so cartridge can be displayed well safely rather than holding it. The point is there are suspension, inductance, magnetic, and diamond shapes that determine how a stylus sounds no after-market company has parameters or likely tooling to produce an authentic replacement. This is mine from 100 years ago, Lola. Its not likely a Rico as if made under their name, but could very be by.

I don't have to try them all know its delusional believe it might sound the way you really want. I tried it just had to and was not surprised. Empire probably did it better than anyone and sure makes for confusing model identification, even if you're seasoned at.

Empire, Pickering, Stanton, audio-technical, even shire, were among several that notorious for this but the same cartridges as in main product line. It is spec'd the same and essentially a version made as private label for dealers. Regardless, I hate generic styli. I know how its been used and pretty well long.

It comes with the cartridge clip holder and also a new generic replacement stylus from carols is an ECG. Its actually a clone not to be confused with generic called the 3000 clear purple stylus. It has stayed with me through many, many other cartridges which have come and gone. I will have a very similar Empire cartridge to list soon if you're interested.

In this case the ECG is an 18 stylus and its purpose was to be there when my original 2000 iii gives up I need time find another one.
