The idler wheel seems good and strong and is only very faintly audible during operation likely a minor flat spot due to age. To prevent it from coming loose, I wrapped a piece of scotch tape around it to hold it in place. Cosmetically, the unit is in very nice shape.
Make me an offer. The case looks like finished wood, but is actually a printed cloth covering.
I will guarantee this phonograph to the point that it functions as described. Be sure to view the rest of my offers for other related items. The knobs and aux phono switch all work well and sound clean. It is missing the Zenith medallion in the center.
The contacts are good though. The cord is in excellent shape.
Zenith A564W phonograph amplifier combo in working condition.
I have played records on this at all speeds and sizes and the mechanism cycles through well. The smoked plastic dust cover is nice with very light hairline scratches on top. The amplifier is loud and strong for both the phonograph and auxiliary input. With the exceptions listed above, this item is sold as is.
The 45 adapter is present and works. The wire harness that connects the record changer to the amplifier inside the cabinet I found to be loose fitting. The record changer is based off of a v m voice of music chassis.
