The suitcase itself shows moderate outside wear relative to its age sold early 1960s but no apparent damage exclusive of regular usage over nearly 60 years very rare. I have no reason to believe that battery powered functionality would not be full functional but it has been tested.

This player was tested extensively exclusive of battery pack operation it takes 8 batteries that I did not have. The Admiral YH1421 from 1960s. The suitcase itself closes and latches with a working slide able latch lock just above handle. There pictures are reasonably well descriptive of the condition player inside and out this is a great novelty collectible.
If rechargeable batteries are installed see compartment door under unit, there is a recharge mode. I actually hate to sell the player because of its unique capabilities, relatively full-featured functionality as a complete record and reasonably well-maintained condition mechanics for age.
I've never seen anything like it, its definitely unique in both design and functionality. The player was tested as fully functional best we could test it. It also includes a second playback needle and the original 45 rpm record adapter. A switch allows ac or dc battery usage modes.
The battery case is in very good physical condition but suitcase itself has moderate wear throughout.
