The Zenith X940W 1967 High Fidelity Phonograph AM/FM Stereo Tuner is a vintage audio device that offers a unique blend of classic design and modern functionality. Here are some pros and cons to consider before making a purchase:

Pros:

1. Authentic Vintage Design: The Zenith X940W's retro design adds a touch of nostalgia and elegance to any room.

2. High Fidelity Sound: Designed for audiophiles, this phonograph delivers high-fidelity sound quality, making it ideal for music enthusiasts.

3. AM/FM Radio: The built-in AM/FM tuner allows you to listen to your favorite radio stations.

4. Stereo Sound: The stereo capabilities provide a more immersive listening experience.

5. Turntable: The built-in turntable allows you to play your vinyl records.

Cons:

1. Limited Connectivity: Compared to modern audio devices, the Zenith X940W has limited connectivity options. It does not have Bluetooth, USB, or Wi-Fi capabilities.

2. Size and Weight: As a large, vintage piece of equipment, the Zenith X940W may take up a significant amount of space and be difficult to move.

3. Potential Repair Issues: Since it is a vintage item, it may require more maintenance and potentially expensive repairs.

4. Compatibility: It may not be compatible with all types of vinyl records or modern audio systems.

In conclusion, the Zenith X940W 1967 High Fidelity Phonograph AM/FM Stereo Tuner is a great choice for music enthusiasts who appreciate high-fidelity sound and vintage design. However, it may not be the best fit for those who prioritize modern connectivity options, compact size, or require a more maintenance-free audio solution. If you are a vinyl collector who values the traditional listening experience, the Zenith X940W could be a worthwhile investment. If you prefer a more modern, feature-rich audio device, you may want to consider other options.

Details:

The unit was serviced in '93 due to the auto changer. When stacking multiple vinyl, when the last vinyl drops unit shuts off. This is the 'Kirsten' model from 1967. Sound is authentic, and speakers seem to be great.

There is a ING noise as it plays. Turntable works/plays. AM/FM Tuner works well. There are a few scratches and dents, but for its age in pretty good shape.

When playing one vinyl, plays fine, minus the ING noise. Please see second photo for manufacturers.
