This was one of the better turntables in Sony's lineup and, like we said before. This very rare Sony ps 1800 is a semi automatic, servo controlled, semi automatic belt drive that is in perfect working order.
It has the same superb motor as the famous Sony broadcast ttys it comes with a nice working cartridge and stylus. This will not be shipped. This is very sophisticated and one of the better belt drives of its era a smooth operating massive affair that runs in slow speed to reduce rumble, it is a fantastic motor.
It is also in very good cosmetic condition. The front Sony badge plate also has a reject button that glows red while it's playing.
The sensor is elector magnetic and the tonearm return mechanism also has its own motor. The large dark walnut cabinet has a hinged tinted dust cover.
It's very, very rare.
