The tape deck door is loose, popped off when I hit 'eject and have left it thus. The plug is 2 round prongs plugged into a Bakelite adapter for us style. I do have a pic of the bottom panel removed if you'd like. I've never known them to lie, so I was a bit surprised it would not power on.
