It is time for another audiophile to listen to and cherish for a long time to come. The sound is warm and pleasing compared to my fisher 500c and 800c, as with all vintage tube gear, there is a bit of warm up time. This is another vintage gem from my personal collection of hi fie equipment that I have to let go.
Note due to recent life change from my early retirement, I am reducing my collections to let others to enjoy these fine collections. Besides reducing my collections, I also start the service for vintage tube amplifiers.
And the fm multiplex stereo sensitivity is very high only needs a short metal wire connected to the antenna input for pulling in many local station in hi fie music listening. Personally, I felt Scott 340B has more solid and punch in audio section as compared to fisher 500c or 800c.
25 and weighs 35 lbs the 340 b came on the scene a little more than 15 months after the original 340 a 's introduction.
It has served me well for quite many years, but I have way too much equipment and I am currently rotating my gears for music listening almost whole day every day.
A well kept Scott fm MP stereo tube receiver in great working and very nice cosmetic condition in my long term collections for you to grab.
I also send by FedEx, USPS, or ups. It's easy to confuse the 340 b with its slide rule dial with later solid state model's. This item is sold as is.
Specification model 340 b available from rated at 30 watts per channel from tubes inputs phono, aux, and tape 17. But the b featured many improvements, which apparently justified a 20 increase in sixties. I prefer ship to USA.
The unit is well kept for all these years without service, and it is in top shape.
