The Admiral Record RC600 Classic Turntable is a vintage audio component that has gained popularity for its retro aesthetic and potential audio quality. Here are some points to consider before making a purchase:
Pros:1. Authentic Vintage Design: The RC600's classic design is a nostalgic nod to the golden age of vinyl records, making it a great conversation piece for any audio enthusiast or collector.
2. Automatic Operation: The turntable's automatic operation feature makes it easy for beginners to play records without the need for manual start and stop functions.
3. Built-in Speakers: The RC600 comes with built-in speakers, eliminating the need for additional external audio equipment, making it more convenient for those with limited space.
4. Good Sound Quality: Many users report satisfactory sound quality from the RC600, given its affordable price range for a vintage turntable.
Cons:1. Potential Quality Variations: As with many vintage items, the quality of the RC600 can vary depending on the specific unit and its age. Some users have reported issues such as speed inconsistencies, skips, and hums.
2. Limited Features: Compared to modern turntables, the RC600 lacks features such as USB outputs for digital recording, adjustable pitch control, or a wide range of speed options.
3. Potential Need for Repairs: Since the RC600 is a vintage turntable, it may require maintenance or repairs, especially if it has been used extensively over the years.
4. Limited Compatibility: The RC600's built-in speakers may limit the turntable's compatibility with external audio equipment, such as amplifiers or speakers.
Conclusion:The Admiral Record RC600 Classic Turntable offers a unique vintage design, automatic operation, and decent sound quality at an affordable price. However, potential quality variations, limited features, and compatibility issues should be considered before making a purchase.
Recommendation:If you are a beginner looking for an affordable, vintage-style turntable for casual listening, the RC600 could be a good choice. However, if you are an audiophile seeking high-quality sound and a wide range of features, you may want to consider a modern turntable instead. It is recommended to thoroughly inspect the turntable before purchasing, or buy from a reputable seller with a return policy to ensure that you receive a well-functioning unit.

It does have a cartridge and needle. As I have noticed in the past, used merchandise comes with some light wear and maybe even some scratches from normal use.
Right out of a local estate Admiral 3 speed phonograph.
I try and describe these items as best I can and try and note as many of these flaws or markings as I can see. The 3 speeds are and 78 rpm.
There is no cord attached so I have no way of testing it.
