This did power up and the platter spin. It was made in england. It has auto start and stop, plays at 4 speeds. The tone arm currently has a 78rpm stylus on it.
It plays at 16, 33, 45, or 78 rpm. It also has a selector for 7, 10, or12 records, and cue up down lever. This also has a continuous feature where you can stack the records and after first one is finished playing next record in will drop play automatically.
This is a Dynavox turntable record player. I don't have any 78 records to try on it though. This is a very interesting and unique piece of history though would make great addition to anyone's collection. A 78 stylus is only meant to play rm records.
