The KP-5100 turntable boasts a sturdy and sleek design, with a heavy-duty plinth and a smoothly operating direct drive motor. The precision-engineered die-cast aluminum tonearm provides stability and smooth movement, while the rubber damping reduces unwanted resonance, ensuring accurate tracking and crystal-clear audio reproduction.
What sets this turntable apart is the inclusion of the Ortofon OM-10 cartridge/needle. Ortofon, a renowned name in the world of phono cartridges, crafted the OM-10 specifically for high-performance and accurate sound. The OM-10 features a nude elliptical diamond stylus, which provides excellent tracking ability and a detailed, well-balanced sound. The cartridge's lightweight aluminum body and low-mass generator system further contribute to its high-fidelity sound quality.

It ships with a 45 record adapter and an Ortofon OM-10 cartridge/needle that still has lots of miles on it. I have been using this turntable for the past couple of years in rotation with a Technical SL-10 but due to space issues decided list it here. Kenwood KP-5100 Turntable w/ Ortofon OM-10 cartridge/needle, Made in Japan 1980. Nice, almost spotless dust cover, too!, I'll make sure to pack this turntable safely, platter removed and stored underneath the plinth, tonearm secured with an extra zip tie around tone-arm rest counter-weight packed separately.
Great sound and great cosmetic condition. The Kenwood KP-5100 is an excellent, heavy, well-made turntable, in great working condition see video. The only visible flaw is a small scuff-mark on the front see close-up of it in last picture. I'll also remove the head shell/cartridge and pack those safely.
