This turntable, a shining jewel in the Kenwood family, boasts a robust and sleek design that exudes a timeless charm, making it a striking addition to any discerning music aficionado's home audio setup.
At the heart of the KD-3100 is a high-performance, direct drive motor, offering exceptional stability, precision, and responsiveness. With a starting torque of 2.2 kg-cm, the motor ensures smooth and consistent rotation, minimizing speed fluctuations that can distort the sound quality. The direct drive system also eliminates the need for a belt, reducing potential sources of unwanted noise and ensuring a clean, pure audio output.
The KD-3100 features an automatic operation system, allowing for effortless playback of your vinyl collection. With the touch of a button, the tonearm will lower, the platter will start spinning, and the record will begin to play. At the end of the side, the tonearm will automatically lift and return the stylus to its rest, ensuring the utmost care is taken of your vinyl records.
The turntable's S-shaped tonearm is engineered for optimal tracking, ensuring accurate and precise playback. It is fitted with a high-quality, universal phono cartridge that delivers rich, detailed sound with minimal distortion. The tonearm also features adjustable azimuth and anti-skating mechanisms, allowing for precise alignment and balance to achieve the best possible sound quality.
The KD-3100 boasts a high-mass, die-cast aluminum platter that provides superior inertia and stability, reducing resonance and vibration for a more accurate and clear audio output. The platter is driven by a heavy, steel-balanced shaft and a rubber damping mechanism, ensuring smooth and quiet operation.
The turntable's sturdy, die-cast aluminum chassis provides a solid and stable base, reducing vibrations and external noise that can interfere with the audio quality. The chassis also features a grounding terminal, allowing for easy connection to grounding cables to further reduce noise and improve sound quality.
The Kenwood KD-3100 Automatic Direct Drive Turntable offers a variety of connection options, including a high-quality phono output for connection to a dedicated phono input on a receiver or amplifier, and a line-level output for connection to a system without a phono input. The turntable also includes a built-in switchable phono equalizer, allowing for seamless integration into any audio setup.
The KD-3100 comes with a dust cover to protect your turntable and vinyl records from dust and debris, and a 45 RPM adapter for playing singles at the correct speed. With its rich features, exceptional sound quality, and timeless design, the Kenwood KD-3100 Automatic Direct Drive Turntable is an investment in a truly immersive vinyl playback experience.

There are 3 scuff marks on turntable caused by the lid. And I don't have the 45 adapter. The pitch is accurate. With a nice cartridge this sounds pretty nice.
Pics are 100 accurate. It's pretty heavy and has a nice arm. All functions work.
It's direct drive which means no belts and has auto return. Over all solid Ty just cosmetic issues. It was considered above middle of the line Ty. Clean on inside and out.
The turntable is in great condition. As seen in pics. Made in japan. The lid is kinda ugly sorry about that.
This was made in mid 70's. The head shell is not included. In great condition.
