The Hitachi HT-R10 Automatic Turntable (HTF) is a popular choice among music enthusiasts due to its automatic operation and high-quality sound. Here are some pros and cons to consider before making a purchase:
Pros:1. Automatic Operation: The turntable's automatic operation makes it easy to use, especially for beginners. It automatically stops at the end of the record, reducing the risk of damage.
2. Direct Drive Motor: The direct drive motor ensures smooth and precise rotations, which can significantly improve the sound quality.
3. Built-in Phono Preamp: The built-in phono preamp allows you to connect the turntable directly to a stereo system without needing an external preamp.
4. Anti-Resonance Design: The dual-layer die-cast aluminum body and rubber feet help minimize vibrations, contributing to better sound quality.
5. Multiple Speed Options: The turntable supports three speeds (33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM), catering to a wide range of vinyl records.
Cons:1. Build Quality: Some users have reported issues with the build quality, such as loose screws or poor finishing.
2. Speed Accuracy: While the direct drive motor improves the sound quality, it may not provide perfect speed accuracy, which can affect the sound.
3. Lack of Customization: Since it's an automatic turntable, there are limited customization options compared to manual turntables.
4. No Bluetooth Connectivity: The HT-R10 does not have Bluetooth connectivity, which may be a disadvantage for those who prefer wireless options.
In conclusion, the Hitachi HT-R10 Automatic Turntable is a decent choice for those who value automatic operation and high-quality sound. However, potential buyers should be aware of the build quality concerns and the lack of customization options. If these factors are not a concern, the HT-R10 could be a worthwhile investment. Alternatively, one might consider manual turntables or turntables with Bluetooth connectivity if those features are more important.
It is currently paired with a Grad ZF1 Stylus, which sounds absolutely amazing. I really love its repeat feature. Really don't see that very often. Does not come with the album used in demo video.
Hitachi HT-R10 Fully Automatic Turntable. I've had and used this one for about 2 years now, its always functioned flawlessly. Being a used item, it does have some wear around the edges and scratches here there. Comes with the power cable, RCA plugs, and 45 adapter.
No remote or other accessories, only whats shown in the photos. Up for sale is one of my personal favorite Turntables. However, the Lid is in great shape I cleaned it more after video, and hinges work fine to hold up.
