There is some static while adjusting the volume which normal for vintage electronics need cleaning. The Zenith HFZ 10 was the Cadillac of mid 1950s portable mono record players before stereo units started in late 50s. Unit was tested with a stack of 45s as it still has its original 45 adapter, few 78s and 33s all played well mechanically operated correctly.
