Details:
Motor rumble is a tad loud, but not noticeable once the music starts. But the wood is intact and could be stripped re-varnished to become a show-stopper. The cabinet is nice but not perfect.
Mechanically restored to operate properly demonstrated in videos. This is probably one of the rarest Zenith turntables. This needle is safe for mono and stereo records.
Zenith stroboscopic record player this is a rare. The lid latches closed, sealing itself against some fresh foam-rubber for an insulated baffle. Tubes checked and replaced with good USA where necessary. I have a lot of experience with most that ever existed.
The top surface is currently un-varnished. The varnish has small blemishes all over. Whether the lid is open or closed, this player has very deep bass response for a record of its type. The stroboscope model was only made for a short duration.
Free shipping with buy-it-now. A lot of turntables have passed through my hands over the years. Restored: amplifier fully restored with all-new capacitors I only use high quality caps: Nichiren and Panasonic. New tetras cartridge with 78 LP flip-over needle, so you can play all records.
I am just using the built-in-mic of my early-2000s digital camera, so sound quality is low only in video. When a record player can play all speeds, you gotta have cartridge that will records. This is something i've never seen in any other record player. My videos below demonstrate the record player playing 78s and LP's.
Fresh rubber motor mounts installed too. Sound quality and bass response go up when the lid is closed this true of most integrated-amp record players with lids. This cabinet is a special design incorporating an acoustic-suspension speaker.
