On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being new from the factory this is an 8. Please look at all pictures carefully. Let me close by saying this item is for serious vintage Fisher collectors and is as good as you can hope for short of one never opened from the factory.

The next component is the Fisher r 200 b FM stereo am multi band tuner this was refurbished by Lafayette homeowners electronics who has serviced all my mechanical turntables. The heart of the system starts with a Fisher TX 1000 stereo master control amplifier rated at 50 watts per channel RMS rating.

For those who wanted the best components and cabinetry regardless of cost Fisher was regarded as the king of the hill and the president model was the top of the line. Back in the early 60's the icons in stereo components where Fisher, marinates, McIntosh, apex, Scott, pilot, Sherwood and several others. This was restored by an former apex engineer.

Which in today's money is like first you are looking at a Fisher president, stereophonic radio phonograph console, model 9012B, circa 1967, fully restored. Both of these components were completely restored by the Fisher doctor, AL plies. In my opinion Fisher made the best sounding tuners bar non.

Anyone familiar with r recorders knows apex was considered the best. The cabinet is a fine piece of furniture solid wood not a veneer finish and very heavy about 300 lbs. The problem was the high cost of the component equipment so they went to companies like zenith, rca, Motorola, GE, Phil and magnifies the largest supplier of stereo consoles at prices in most cases well under the speakers are the same as in the Fisher PX 10 consoled's.

The average homeowner wanted a nice piece of furniture with a stereo phonograph for the living or play room entertainment. This is still a highly sought after turntable today.
