But while it did work, the needle cartridge sounded good. The first time I tried it, record player worked and sounded good, however, since then it didn't work. Item is in Frederick, MD. Very impressive for 1973.
It features instant-touch technology. This 1973 Zenith D966 was a very high end console stereo back in its day. I have plugged in a Bluetooth receiver not included the back and streamed music from my phone it sounds great. This one is in amazing condition.
I can't ship it. I only obtained the unit recently from family that owned it. But if you go to YouTube and search for 1971 Zenith stereo console. The lights on console panel are very cool, check them out in video link below.
It probably needs to be disassembled, cleaned, and re-lubricated like any of these that are 40 years old. But the stereo and rca inputs do work. There is a video up of very similar model by Murasaki that demonstrates the stereo and shows controls. This unit is very powerful and really fills up the space with sound.
2 strong guys and a truck or van are needed. Its huge and ways a lot. I can't figure out how to put a link up. It has a bass boost option.
It still works well and sounds great. Perfect addition for any man cave. This is a console for an audiophile. The best part of this unit is stereo controls.
This unit also has a cassette player, however, I have not tested it yet, and am sure if works. Just gently touch your finger to the control and it senses fingers heat actuates.
