This is an excellent example of the Pioneer silver face series consumer audio equipment. These displays are bright and working with no failed segments. The VI meters are blue fluorescing display as is mode indicators.
This unit will not record metal tapes as it predates the introduction of. Conically the unit is very good. This unit is a three head that allows monitoring as you record tape.
The transport is functioning with fast forward, rewind, and playback mode operational. Also, due to its vintage it only has Dolby b noise reduction. The face plate is constructed of 5mm thick aluminum and in fine shape. The ff Re mode operates fine but seems a Little's louder in operation than playback which is quiet.
This unit plays tapes and records nicely. It will record and play standard, foreshore, chrome tapes. All in this is a very nice example of the ctf series cassette decks.
