Sold as-is for parts or repair. There are some cracks in the rear and metal retainer on right side is missing, but front portion of cover still slides without much trouble stays put well enough when moving around. See photos and judge for yourself. I don't know if it will work for other cases.
Vintage Dual 1229 Turntable Dust Cover for CS 40 Case -READ- as pictured. The cue lift does not work. The counterweight is not secured. The unit comes without a dust cover, head shell/cartridge holder or any other accessories.
The stop lever does not the spinning of platter once started. No further testing done. The CS 40 Case/Chassis fit loosely and has little tabs to the side of table that should be held when transporting so inner plinth keeps its orientation. Fair used condition.
It feels like I may break something if tried to put it into the other speeds. This dust cover came from a Dual 1229 turntable inside of CS 40 case. It is quite usable and in otherwise decent IMHO cosmetic condition. I ship to standard addresses in the Contiguous US only.
The unit is not functioning correctly. I may be missing a screw to do so. The speed control only goes into 33rpm mode. Cosmetically good with signs of use.
The start cue starts the platter spinning and lifts tonearm but does not move to just lowers back on rest a few seconds later. Please make special requests before purchase.
