I glued it and it's been holding well. All old grease has been removed and relocated. First, there is a small bit of surface rust on the metal platform right in front of the platter. This 1956 Magnavox Collaro coronation rc 440 record changer has been completely restored.
It is minimal, but needed to be mentioned. Next, some photos have the base in the picture. They originally were.
You'll have to get one or drop it into a console from the era. I glued it with that 5 second fix stuff they advertise on TV. Also, the guy who I got this from did not package it well, and the record leveling arm was cracked during shipping. It has been rewired for stereo, using a Stanton 500 mount cartridge.
You'll notice that in some videos photos, the knobs are red. It works, and you can pick them up online pretty cheap. The stylus has some wear. I just found black ones, so those were changed to black.
Make sure you watch the three videos below. It does not come with the base.
You can see the repair in the photos. Comes with the 45 rpm spindle adapter.
It does have a few flaws. The stuff works. Starting price is fair, for as much work and money has been put into restoring this. Any other questions, ask.
