Its missing the unlatch which is why there electrical tape on sides, to keep lid in place. The unit is approx. I have had the unit playing a record, so know that it does work.

Would make a good parts unit, or replace the belt and drive mechanism have nice little portable unit. It will start and stop. I m not sure when the unit was made, don't know it manufactured in japan.

The battery compartment looks decent unit has a carrying handle, case does have damage and is missing chunk piece out of it. It just will not spin for me today continuously. I have for sale a vintage used and in fair condition Alaron solid state phonograph record player, that does not function as it should. 5 l x 8 WC 3.

The unit turns on and off as it should, volume is scratchy, needle produces sound, turntable wheel wants to turn but hesitant, which tells me needs a new belt or whatever makes spin.
