Details:

I tested the turntable with 78, 45, and rpm records and it sounds great. Avs1624v, serial, made by newcomb audio products co. This unit came from a local school liquidation sale. The nameplate says this is model no.

I am told this model was the top of the line back in the day. The case and the interior are exceptionally clean. I did not test the microphone inputs this is a newcomb AVS1624V stereophonic record player pa system that was often used in schools back in the 50's and 60's. I do not have speakers to go with this unit.

It has a tempo control to fine tune the record speed. Hollywood, ca. This unit sounds great as is, however, I am told that replacing the capacitors can improve the sound quality dramatically.

Any standard 8 ohm speaker will work just fine. You can plug microphones or guitars, or other instruments into it as well as playing 45,78, or 33 records.
