Details:

The whole piece is covered in a light oily film, which is why it has stayed in such fantastic shape all these years. I don't know if it is complete, so please examine all photos for physical condition.

I lightly cleaned the top surface only. I did nothing to this lathe at all other than install a new plug on it. If you don't see it in the photo's it is not included.

The cork mat is flexible, and the horse hair brush is intact. Every function seems to perform as it should. I'm assuming I will sell this to an individual who does know what can be done with it.

Any mention on the internet of this model is for parts only, or a very old post. I am no expert on this item, and do not know what, if anything, is missing. It is relatively rust free.

The 16 cast iron platter has very mild surface rust. Here it is working here is the topside and undercarriage. The following videos will show it working. I did not clean the undercarriage or any moving parts.

I will insure the package for the total purchase amount. You are looking at a Fairchild 199 lathe with 541a 993 head for cutting vinyl or lacquer records. It was a little dirty when I received it.

The prior one was missing. Look at all of the pictures closely as our photos are a large portion of our and what you see is what you get. I am sure this has been stored in doors its whole life.

Do not ask, however, why I am asking so much for it. I am certain it Hans't been used since then. I can tell you it's rare in working condition.

The sticker on the back arm says new stylus this piece is a true survivor. I have not tried to cut a record with it. Let decide what it's worth.
